A few years ago, we set out on a “sensemaking” tour to explore the forces that are driving social benefit organizations to rethink how they advance their causes and serve the world. We interviewed more than 70 nonprofit leaders and 100-plus donors from across the country.

The result is a wealth of information, ideas and innovative practices from these conversations as well as from books, conferences, articles, TED talks, studies and even YouTube videos.
